Terms of Service
1. Platform role
Sydney Marine Logistics operates a dispatch and advisory platform connecting clients with independently certificated vessel operators, barge owners, skippers and marina professionals. We contract the job, collect payment and remit net payouts to the accepted operator.
2. Quotes and pricing
Quotes generated by the online engine are indicative and derived from published operator rate tables plus a platform dispatch margin. Final pricing is confirmed on the itemised invoice issued once an operator accepts the job.
3. Payment
All jobs are pre-paid through the integrated payment gateway before dispatch. Invoices itemise the operator base rate, dispatch margin and GST.
4. Cancellations and weather
Jobs cancelled more than 48 hours before departure are refunded in full less payment processing fees. Cancellations due to unsafe conditions, NSW Maritime restrictions or master's discretion are rescheduled or refunded in full.
5. Operator obligations
Operators warrant current AMSA certification, vessel survey where applicable, public liability insurance and compliance with NSW Maritime operating requirements. Operators remain responsible for the safe conduct of every voyage.
6. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the platform's liability is limited to the value of the affected booking. Nothing in these terms excludes rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
