Casual berthing only works when everyone knows which water is actually available. BerthPoint holds a named casual pool — permanent visitor berths, licence holders away cruising, weekday releases — with the usable length, beam, charted depth, shore power rating and water on each one. How allocation works

—Every berth in the casual pool carries its own usable length, beam and charted depth, so a request that cannot physically fit is never sent to the dockmaster.
—A berth can be released permanently, for a fixed sublet window while its licence holder is away, or on a weekly pattern such as Monday to Thursday.
—Power rating and water availability sit on the berth, not the marina, so the price and the promise match what is actually on the pedestal.
—Multihull-capable berths are flagged separately — a 6.4m beam catamaran is either a yes or a no before anyone picks up the phone.
—Pull a berth out of the pool and it disappears from public availability immediately, including the Book a Berth request page.
